Late Autmn School

After a formal application process Marc Walterbusch has been invited to take part in the interdisciplinary Late Autumn School “Online Communication and Online Trust” held in Münster from the 21st - 24th of November 2013.

The Late Autumn School is embedded in the DFG Research Training Group “Trust and Communication in a Digitalized World”, which is dealing with research questions around trust in media, economy, science and sports.

Mr. Walterbusch is going to present and discuss his current research in the realm of trust in cloud computing.

Exploring Trust in Cloud Computing: A Multi-Method Approach

The department UWI succeeded again: and is going to present the following completed research paper at the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) 2013 in Utrecht, Netherlands:

Walterbusch, M.; Martens, B., Teuteberg, F.: EXPLORING TRUST IN CLOUD COMPUTING: A MULTI-METHOD APPROACH, Proceedings ECIS 2013 (accepted for publication).

The contribution ran through a rigorous peer review process (3 reviews per paper). In total, more than 800 papers were submitted of which approximately 30% were accepted (acceptance rate). The ECIS ranks among the top conferences in information systems (A ranking according to WKWI).

The department of Accounting and Information Systems of the Osnabrück University successfully passed the review process and will present the following research results at the 45th HAWAII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SYSTEM SCIENCES (HICSS 2012) in Maui, Hawaii from January 4th to 7th,2012:

The paper has been nominated for the Best Paper Award

Decision-Making in Cloud Computing Environments - A Cost and Risk Based Approach

The department UWI succeeded again: The article "Decision-Making in Cloud Computing Environments - A Cost and Risk Based Approach" written by Benedikt Martens and Frank Teuteberg was accepted for publication by the scientific journal "Information Systems Frontiers", 2012. Impact factor of the journal: 1.596(2010). The article was rigorously examined (first by Editors-in-Chief, second by the Executive Editor, then by at least three assessors, in two rounds, and finally decision by Editors-in-Chief based on the reports). Depending on the journal ranking, the journal will be classified as A-Journal (e.g. ACPHIS) or as B-Journal (e.g. WKWI-list).
